Lemmo Zero

In close cooperation with Berlin based micro-mobility companyLemmo, the multidisciplinary design studio ZANZOTTI INDUSTRIAL DESIGN has created the innovative, foldable dual-mode e+bike LEMMO ZERO. This project highlights the studio’s leading role in forward-thinking product design for electrified vehicles and its vision of seamlessly integrated mobility.

With the ZERO, ZANZOTTI INDUSTRIAL DESIGN and Lemmo address the growing demand for flexible, sustainable modes of transportation and the increasing urban density of modern cities. Together with Lemmo, the studio aims to reinvent short-distance travel through intelligent, electric design—establishing not just a new product category but an entire mobility ecosystem. Technologically advanced, robust, and with a consistently minimal design, the compact bike is a smart, functional tool for daily urban use. It represents a new understanding of mobility—not anonymous and utilitarian, but a visible statement in public space.

The LEMMO ZERO was unveiled for the first time on June 20, 2025, in Shanghai. Its European launch will follow on June 25, 2025, at the Eurobike trade fair in Frankfurt.

The LEMMO ZERO e+bike is a trailblazer in micro-mobility, where the question of transportability becomes the central design principle. The studio’s unmistakable, clean aesthetic is the result of a radical focus on compact folding dimensions.

The folding mechanism is not an add-on but a core feature of the design, shaping the entire frame architecture and folded volume. This vision is made possible by an ultra-light laminated carbon fiber frame, ensuring effortless handling in everyday life. The multifunctional battery serves both as a power source and as a portable energy supply.

The result is an extended range of possibilities: the LEMMO ZERO bridges the gap between cycling, public transit, cars, and even air travel—the battery is carry-on approved, and the bike fits inside a suitcase. The tension between functional complexity and visual precision gives the bike a strong sense of dynamism. The electric drive is a natural complement, compensating for the limitations of small wheels and transforming the bike into a highly efficient urban tool.

A specially developed NIO Edition of the LEMMO ZERO integrates seamlessly into the brand’s 4+2 smart mobility ecosystem—an integrated concept connecting four-wheeled vehicles and two-wheeled solutions into one networked system. This edition is perfectly aligned with the new ET5T electric car models, creating a unified design language across both car and e-bike.

Thanks to its compact foldability and a custom storage system, the LEMMO ZERO can be easily stowed in the trunk. Its deep integration with the NIO onboard network allows automatic synchronization of ride data and battery status, ensuring a seamless transition between car and e-bike.

With this collaboration between LEMMO and NIO, ZANZOTTI INDUSTRIAL DESIGN solidifies its position as a pioneer in holistic micro-mobility. The LEMMO ZERO exemplifies Zanzotti’s expertise in turning visionary concepts into groundbreaking products and redefining the boundaries of traditional mobility through intelligent design.
